CASE STUDY 1 – KATRINA
Age: 33 years old / Job: Solicitor / Height: 5 ft 5 inches Post pregnancy weight: 74.9 kilos (11 stone 11)
Weight in November 2005: 56 kilos (8 stone 12)
Katrina had her first baby in July 2004 and a lot of her post-pregnancy
weight came off reasonably easily once she became active again and started
running. Having reached a plateau she decided she needed help and training
at home was ideal. She contacted Move Your Butt and liked their no-nonsense
approach. “I was after results and was willing to spend money to
achieve them. I liked the fact that they promised to work me hard –
I knew that was what I needed.”
Katrina started training with Julia Bishop twice a week in February 2005.
Her target was to feel fit and to weigh 56 kilos. “One of Julia’s
strongest points was the way she assessed me and planned my fitness routine,”
continues Katrina. “She was not just looking at ways to get me fit
and help me to lose weight, she was also looking at ways to make me look
my best,” she explains. “She has built up my shoulders to
offset my pear shape and it has made a dramatic and positive difference
to my overall body shape.” Julia provided the motivation for Katrina
to exceed her own expectations. When she wasn’t training with Julia,
Katrina had a programme of exercises to do on her own. “Julia weighed
and measured me regularly and I could see a difference within a month.
It was very gratifying to see the weight finally come off,” says
Katrina.
Trainer comment: Katrina is a shining example of what can be achieved
when you combine an effective exercise routine with healthy eating. Katrina
is now expecting her second child and continues to train with us. Her
husband is now a client too!
